  • DAY 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport. Your driver will pick you up and transport you to the little town of Arusha. This town is the gateway to your safari. After the long flight, you will be taken by your guide to a serene retreat built around the forest of Mount Meru. This accommodation will provide the rest and preparation needed before you embark on your safari.
  • DAY 2: After breakfast, you will head to Tarangire Park. This park is famous for its massive herds of elephants, buffalo, wildebeest and zebras. It also has many Baobab trees, also known as the “tree of life” After lunch you will head out for game viewing.
  • DAY 3: Game viewing or take a hot air balloon ride over the Tarangire.
  • DAY 4: Today you will head toward Ngorongoro Crater passing through the town of Mto Wa Mbu. You can stop and visit the market here and meet the local people. We will stop for lunch at Lake Manyara before heading to the crater.
  • DAY 5: This day you will wake up early to drive into the crater to watch the sunrise. We will eat our breakfast near one of the springs and then continue with the game drive. If interested you may also visit the Maasai village nearby.
  • DAY 6: Today you will drive to the mighty Serengeti. You also have the opportunity to visit Oldupai Gorge if interested. The plains of Serengeti are much different than the highlands of Ngorongoro Crater.
  • DAY 7: Game viewing. You will be surprised by the amount of different types of animals you will be seeing. There will be big cats and mammals like hippos and warthogs.
  • DAY 8: After breakfast you will head toward a nearby airstrip doing a game drive on the way. You will fly into Arusha and transported to Kilimanjaro for your flight home with the use of a day room until your flight.
