Few Pointers Before You Start Packing

• Tanzania has a plastic bag ban...pack accordingly. Packing cubes are great!
• Always check your passport. Expiration date needs to be 6 months beyond the date of leaving the country
• You need a visa to enter Africa. Apply online at IVisa.com. You do have the option to obtain one upon landing at most airports.
• Put all your travel documents in a folder when you land. It will make customs much smoother
• There are no required vaccines to enter Tanzania if you are coming from the USA or Europe. Malaria pills are recommended. Check with your Dr. or a travel clinic
• Packing...Keep it light!!! Its best to invest in some lightweight Merino wool shirts and some hiking pants. They pack easy, don't smell and dry quickly. Stay away from dark blues and blacks. Those colors attract the teetsie flys. If you are traveling in Africa on a smaller plane, check the weight and size limit.
